Chicken sandwich was flavorful. Staff very accomodating and polite to my young nieces. Definitely will be back!

Add a regionally brewed Ipswich 101 IPA and you're good to go!Cozy, familiar atmosphere, will return if time allows it!

Fantastic new restaurant in Ipswich. Cozy atmosphere combined with warm comfort food. Easy casual dining made better by the waitresses great attitude and cheery demeanor. Our server was fun, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Definitely recommended if you're in the area and looking for a great quality but reasonably priced meal. Just opened for lunch too!

Just wow. Very accommodating staff. We were a party of 8, everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their meals. Delicious. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Second time was the charm. Nice experience. Friendly staff, decent menu. Baked haddock may have been slightly overcooked as it wad not quite tender, strong on the butter. Next visit will try the sandwiches. App wings were perfect.

Cozy restaurant & bar. Leather sofas in front of the fire to sit and enjoy a cocktail before eating. Reasonably priced and very tasty. I had their signature hotdog topped with chili and cheddar cheese. My friend had their lobster Mac N' Cheese that she said was delicious. The bartender makes a great cosmopolitan, too. Looking forward to returning with friends.

Small cozy place. Buffalo chicken sandwich was very good. They even put my nick name initials on the top bun 👍

Best fried pickles I've ever had

I have had the pleasure of dining several times at the Brown Dog. I love the atmosphere and especially sitting in front of the fireplace, watching football and visiting with friends over a cocktail and appetizer. The waitstaff are competent, funny and definitely add to your dining experience. The items that I have tried on the menu are excellent. I love the mussels! The fried oysters and flatbread pizza are also favorites. It is my new go to place.

Staff was very helpful but food was nothing special. Smaller place so very noisy when busy. All summed up a generic place.

A very good addition to the already fabulous Ipswich restaurant scene. Standard pub fare and simple entrees, at prices you would expect. Decent beverage selection.The atmosphere is what sets the Brown Dog apart from it's neighbors. Welcoming and cozy, especially the two couches in front of the fireplace. Nice place to go to relax with family or friends.

Really tasty food, sandwiches. VERY busy on a Sunday afternoon...took more than 1/2 hour to get sandwiches. Very well made and tasty ingredients, but still, a 1/2 hour wait is not a "quick" bite.

Excellent! Delicious food and great service, in the middle of the beautiful and quaint downtown Ipswich. Fair prices and a nice variety of local beers on tap.

It was ok. The atmosphere was good. It's nice in there but the fries we ordered were barely cooked. The food was meh.

Delicious food and awesome staff! I am visiting my sister and she suggested this place and I'm glad that she did. Everything we ate was delicious and the waitress was fun and friendly. I definitely recommend.

Great and comfortable place! Good foot, good drinks. When crowded you might happen to wait waitress for a while. Doesn't work on Mondays.

Service was fast, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was cozy and we were seated really quickly. It was an amazing experience overall, I will be returning, especially to get the clam chowder which was delicious and so creamy.
